"Multiband Chiral Superconductivity in Sr2RuO4" by Catherine Kallin (McMaster University)

Considerable experimental evidence points toward chiral p-wave superconductivity in Sr2RuO4, although some inconsistencies remain. Perhaps the most striking of these is the absence of observable edge currents. This talk will discuss our current understanding of the spontaneous equilibrium currents in chiral superconductors and how the discrepancy might be resolved within a realistic multiband model of Sr2RuO4. This multiband model also predicts that Sr2RuO4 should support a low-lying Leggett mode, corresponding to oscillations in the relative phase of the superconducting order parameter on different bands.
