I describe an extension of the original defect AdS/CFT correspondence to multiple D5-branes probing a near-horizon AdS_5 x S^5 geometry.  In an appropriate regime of parameters, the physics of the open string modes on the D5-branes is well described by a six-dimensional supersymmetric Yang--Mills theory on rigid AdS_4 x S^2.  This theory has an intricate vacuum structure and a rich class of BPS equations describing finite-energy soliton configurations.  Holography provides a new approach to studying boundary value problems for these equations, which are of the generalized self-duality type and include the Haydys--Witten and extended Bogomolny equations.  This talk is based on work done in collaboration with Sophia Domokos.
